Want to make a difference in your community? Need service credit for class, a leadership certificate, or scholarship requirements? Would you like more work experience for your resume?
Volunteering is a great way to develop skills you will need in the workplace and a study conducted by TimeBank through Reed Executive suggests that employers prefer job candidates who volunteer. The Office of Student Affairs strives to provide on- and off-campus programming that engages you in a variety of community outreach opportunities, both serving the university as well as serving nonprofit organizations in the greater Columbus area. You can develop your communication, organizing, event planning, time management and leadership skills through meaningful experiences.
Here are some upcoming events where you can volunteer:
- Community Day of Service, September 9
- The Hunger Banquet, TBD
- The Big Event, April 1
- Graduation, May 13
