IU MBA Columbus Degree Requirements

Studying part-time, two nights per week, you will be able to complete your degree requirements in 24 months. The IU MBA Columbus is designed around six thematic modules that integrate concepts and make efficient use of your classroom time with IU faculty.

Module 1:
Professional Development and Tools (Fall I - 9 credits)

Two issues critical to your work in the program and your career progress: Understanding your managerial profile and its role in the strategic nature of organizations. Plus the economic foundations of business decision-making.

Module 2:
Enterprise Structures and Change (Spring I - 9 credits)

The accounting and legal structures of the modern firm, in conjunction with a crucial understanding of the behavior aspects of organizational development and change.

Module 3:
Managing in a Global Community (Summer I - 6 credits)

This summer module pulls you back for a macro look at the global business, cultural and economic forces confronting business leaders.

Module 4:
Managing Organizational Performance (Fall II - 9 credits)

Finance, marketing and operations taught as managers actually experience these disciplines in the firm: as interrelated functions.

Module 5:
Venture and Adventure (Spring II - 6 credits)

The "venture" derives from your immersion in the facets and culture of entrepreneurship, while "adventure" is what you will experience as you and teammates place all that you have learned in the service of a regional non-profit organization.

Module 6:
Strategy, Leadership and Ethics (Summer II - 6 credits)

Last summer and last semester in the program is a time for reflection from a higher vantage point and synthesis in the capstone competitive strategy game.
