Donor Funded Scholarships Application
CAAIFA Scholarship
Established by the Columbus Area Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CAAIFA) to support south central Indiana students furthering their education in Business. One scholarship of $1,500 to be awarded.
Criteria:
- Graduating high school seniors or current IUPUC students who are residents of Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, or Shelby counties.
- Applicants must be admitted into a Bachelor of Science degree program in Business and be enrolled at least part-time (six hours per fall and spring semester).
- Applicants must have a 2.5 CGPA.
- Financial need as well as community service or extracurricular activities will be considered.
Additional requirement: Attach an essay (maximum one-page) on the topic: Why it is important to plan your financial future?
EMCON Technologies LLC Scholarship
Established by EMCON Technologies to support Engineering or Science students who wish to build their success in south central Indiana. Two scholarships of $1,000 each to be awarded.
Criteria:
- Student pursuing a degree in Engineering or Science at IUPUC.
Glenn Klipsch Memorial Scholarship
Established by IUPUC alumnus Paul Ashbrook in memory of former Hope resident Glenn Klipsch. One scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded.
Criteria:
- Full-time degree-seeking student.
- CGPA of 3.0 or better.
- Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester student receives scholarship.
- Must complete some form of volunteer service during each semester.
Additional requirement: Please attach additional information describing the community service activity or activities in which you are involved.
Irwin-Sweeney-Miller Foundation Scholarship
Established by the Irwin-Sweeney-Miller Foundation to support students pursuing a bachelors degree at IUPUC. One scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded.
Criteria:
- Nontraditional student who is a Bartholomew County resident.
IUPUC Alumni Association Scholarship
Established by the IUPUC Alumni Association to provide additional scholarship opportunities for nontraditional and continuing students. The mission of the Alumni Association is to connect alumni, build lifelong relationships, and serve IUPUC. The Alumni Association hosts numerous events throughout the year and its mission is to connect alumni, build lifelong relationships, and serve IUPUC. Multiple scholarships are awarded, and the scholarship amounts vary.
Criteria:
- Nontraditional or continuing students.
- Degree-seeking students who are enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours at IUPUC and who have completed a minimum of nine credit hours at IUPUC.
Additional requirement: Applicant must also submit a letter/statement of endorsement by an employer, IUPUC faculty member, or IUPUC alumnus/alumna.
IUPUC Nursing Scholarship
Established by an anonymous donor to benefit nursing students. Multiple scholarships are awarded, and the scholarship amount vary.
Criteria:
- Student pursuing a degree in Nursing at IUPUC.
Additional requirements: Applicant must attach answers to the following questions
- Why is a university education important to you?
- Why is this scholarship important to you?
Kristen Schildmier Scholarship
Established by Kenneth and Phyllis DeLap in honor of their granddaughter Kristen Schildmier, IUPUC class of 2006. Minimum scholarship level is $1,000.
Criteria:
- Full-time student pursuing a bachelors degree who is also working part-time or full-time.
- Financial need will also be considered.
- Preference will be given to students who have earned an associate degree from Ivy Tech.
Marvin Rytting Scholarship
Established by alumni and friends of IUPUC in honor of Marvin Rytting, who served IUPUC for 28 years as a faculty member in Psychology. One scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded.
Please note that the application deadline for this scholarship is April 2
Criteria:
- Psychology major with 75 or more credit hours toward graduation. (Students may apply for the scholarship during the spring semester of their junior year and the scholarship will be awarded during the fall semester of the recipients senior year.)
- Primary criteria is merit, which will be evaluated in terms of academic accomplishments. Service to IUPUC and the community will be considered as further evidence of merit. The secondary criterion is financial need.
Additional requirements: Applicant must attach answers to the following questions
- Please describe your accomplishments in the areas of academics and service to IUPUC and/or the community. You do not need to have service accomplishments to apply.
- Please describe how receiving this scholarship will help you meet your financial obligations associated with completing your degree. You do not need to provide specific financial information.
Zonta Club Scholarship
Established by the Zonta Club of Columbus to support women pursuing a bachelors degree at IUPUC. One scholarship of $500 to be awarded.
Criteria:
- Female student who is a resident of Bartholomew County.
- CGPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours at IUPUC each semester which support is received.
