Institutional Effectiveness

IUPUC has a plan for assessment, planning, and improvement that describes the process we follow for informed decision-making. Assessment systems monitor progress toward IUPUC's mission and strategic goals, providing direction for improvement and guiding processes that are in place to facilitate future effectiveness.

Implementation

To integrate assessment systems, better evaluate alignment of strategic initiatives, and define shared institutional goals across academic divisions and administrative offices, IUPUC joined the Indiana University regional campuses in the implementation of WEAVEonline assessment and planning software.

The implementation process for WEAVEonline at IUPUC will advance according to the following schedule:

Date Task
Summer 2012 Administrative setup and customization
Fall 2012 Institutional rollout to academic units and administrative offices*
Implementation of assessment portion by general education board (program champions)
May 2013 First annual reporting
Fall 2013 Institutional rollout to all program assessment coordinators
Fall 2014 Implementation of mapping tools

*Program assessment coordinators will be engaged in a campus-wide implementation of new program assessment software Chalk & Wire. Implementation of the program assessment portion of WEAVEonline will be delayed for one year to facilitate both software implementations.
