History of OIRE
Located in the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) at IUPUC was established in January of 2011. The office expanded in July of 2012 with the addition of a full-time information management analyst. In 2014, the name of the office was changed to the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE).
IUPUC's vice chancellor and dean charged OIRE with:
- Facilitating a culture of measurement and accountability and
- Developing and implementing a plan to make IUPUC accreditable within three years.
The OIRE team works closely with the University Institutional Research and Reporting (UIRR) on Indiana University's Bloomington campus. It also works in partnership with the Information Management & Institutional Research (IMIR) office at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
