University College (UC) is the academic and student support unit at IUPUC
that provides a common gateway to degree programs available to entering
students. UC coordinates introductory experiences to familiarize new
students with resources and support systems to foster early academic
success and ease the transition to college life. By providing
information to students on resources, how to work with faculty, how to
understand and work with the university systems, UC prepares students
for entry to their academic program.
The UC Academic Advising Center provides academic advising, career
counseling, placement testing and adaptive services as well as
coordinates new student orientation for all beginning students.
University College faculty coordinate the First-year Seminar courses as
well as learning communities designed to increase early academic
success, campus involvement and retention of students.
