IUPUC's Division of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Concentrations in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management and Marketing.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (62 credit hours minimum)

Prerequisite Skills Courses (9 credit hours)

ENG W131	Elementary Composition I (must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or higher)
COMM R110	Fundamentals of Speech Communication (must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or higher)
C&IT107	Computers and Software Packages (must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or higher)

Mathematics Prerequisite Courses (6 credit hours)

MATH M118	Finite Mathematics (must earn a grade of "C-" or higher). (P: 2 yrs. H.S. algebra or MATH 111)
MATH M119	Brief Survey of Calculus (must earn a grade of "C-" or higher). (P: MATH 111 or MATH M118)

Arts & Humanities (12 credit hours)
A minimum of 12 credit hours selected from among the departments listed below.

3 credits must be in American History (HIST H105 OR H106)
Art History - courses prefixed "H" at the 200 level or above
English - literature courses ("L" prefix) 200 level or above; comparative literature ("L" or "C" prefix) 200 level or above
History
Philosophy
Religious Studies

Social Sciences (6 credit hours)
A minimum of 6 credit hours to be selected from any of the following departments:

Anthropology
Geography
Political Science
Psychology
Sociology

Science (5 - 6 credit hours)
A minimum of 5 credit hours selected from among the following departments:

Astronomy
Biology
Chemistry
Geology
Physics

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS (62 credit hours minimum)

BUS X103 Business Learning Community (1 cr.)
BUS X204 Business Communications (3 cr.)

Business Prerequisites (22 credit hours)

Beyond those in the Prerequisites and Skills Category, these Business and Economics courses are required for all business students.

BUS X100	Business Administration: Introduction (must earn a grade of C or higher) (3 cr.)
BUS A201	Introduction to Financial Accounting (P: 26 cr. hrs.) (3 cr.)
BUS A202	Introduction to Managerial Accounting (P: BUS A201 and 26 cr. hrs.) (3 cr.)
BUS L203	Commercial Law I (P: 26 cr. hrs.) (3 cr.)
BUS X220	Career Perspectives (2 cr.)
ECON E201	Introduction to Microeconomics (P: 26 cr. hrs.) (3 cr.)
ECON E202	Introduction to Macroeconomics (P: ECON E201) (3 cr.)
ECON E270	Introduction to Statistical Theory in Economics & Business (P: MATH M118) (3 cr.)

International Business (6 credit hours)

Students must complete one of the following options:

Option 1 - Language - 6 credit hours above the 100 level in one language.

Option 2 - Two courses in International Business. See your Business Advisor for approved list.

Option 3 - Participation in an approved Overseas Study Program.

Option 4 - Two courses from the approved area studies list. See your academic advisor for list of approved courses offered at Columbus.

Courses used to fulfill this international dimension requirement can also be used to meet the undergraduate program's other distribution requirements where appropriate.

Business (17 credit hours)

The following Upper Level Business courses are required for all students:

Integrative Core (P: Admission to Division of Business having completed all Option II requirements):

BUS M301 Marketing Management (3 cr.)
BUS P301 Operations Management (3 cr.)
BUS Z302 Managing and Behavior in Organizations (P: Jr. standing) (3 cr.)
BUS J401 Administrative Systems (P: Integrative Core, Z302, and Sr. standing) (3 cr.)*
BUS X420 Business Career Planning and Placement (2 cr.)*

Note: The following courses do not count for any credit toward any degree program in the Division of Business: ENG W001, MATH M010, MATH 001, MATH M111, and ENG W130. As a general rule, remedial courses do not count for any credit toward any degree program in the Division of Business.
