The Division of Business offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Concentrations in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management and Marketing.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Computer Information Systems

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (62 credit hours minimum)

Prerequisite Skills Courses (13 credit hours)

ENG W131 Elementary Composition I (must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or higher)
COMM R110 Fundamentals of Speech Communication (must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or higher)
C&IT 107 Computers and Software Packages (must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or higher)


Mathematics Prerequisite Courses (6 credit hours)

MATH M118 Finite Mathematics (must earn a grade of "C-" or higher). (P: 2 yrs. H.S. algebra or MATH 111)
MATH M119 Brief Survey of Calculus (must earn a grade of "C-" or higher). (P: MATH 111 or MATH M118)


Arts & Humanities (12 credit hours)
A minimum of 12 credit hours selected from among the departments listed below.

3 credits must be in American History (HIST H105 OR H106)
Art History - courses prefixed "H" at the 200 level or above
English - literature courses ("L" prefix) 200 level or above; comparative literature ("L" or "C" prefix) 200 level or above
History
Philosophy
Religious Studies

Social Sciences (6 credit hours)
A minimum of 6 credit hours to be selected from any of the following departments:

Anthropology
Geography
Political Science
Psychology
Sociology


Science (5 - 6 credit hours)
A minimum of 5 credit hours selected from among the following departments:

Astronomy
Biology
Chemistry
Geology
Physics

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS (62 credit hours minimum)

Beyond those in the Prerequisites and Skills Category, these Business and Economics courses are required for all business students.

International Business (6 credit hours)

Students must complete one of the following options:

Option 1 - Language - 6 credit hours above the 100 level in one language.

Option 2 - Two courses in International Business and Economics. See your Business and Advisor for approved list.

Option 3 - Participation in an approved Overseas Study Program.

Courses used to fulfill this international dimension requirement can also be used to meet the undergraduate program's other distribution requirements where appropriate.
