Core to College
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IUPUC was awarded a Core to College grant from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Along with Indiana State University and Purdue University Calumet, IUPUC will use the grant to ensure greater clarity in the expectation for college readiness and success as well as to lead and promote a greater alignment between K-12 and higher education.
Partners in the Southeast Indiana Core to College Collaborative (SEICCC) include:
- Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus
- Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus/Franklin
- Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation
- Decatur County Community Schools
- Jac-Cen-Del Community School Corporation
Local Level Leadership Cadres (LLLC) are comprised of K-12 and postsecondary practitioners and administrators and will support the implementation of the Indiana Common Core State Standards initiative and the corresponding assessments resulting in the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers.

By bringing college instructors and high school teachers in the math and English language arts (ELA) departments together, we aim to improve student readiness and success for college and beyond. The math and ELA groups consist of prominent college instructors from IUPUC, and Ivy Tech and leading area high school teachers.
