I am pleased to welcome you to the IUPUC Board of Advisors Web site. In addition,
I am pleased to introduce you to our members; each is a community leader and has
contributed much to the enhancement of the county in which he or she lives. Our
board membership represents broad expertise in almost every area of community life,
including government, finance, education, legal affairs, engineering, fundraising,
business, healthcare, infrastructure, public relations, the arts, politics, agriculture,
commerce, and economic development. The recent increase in the number of board members
transforms the board into a broad-based resource for IUPUC officials to turn to when
seeking community thinking, advice, and support. |
Our membership is divided into the following committees to guide decision-making:
Alumni Association Board, Art Advisory Board, Community and Government Affairs Committee,
Corporate and Community Outreach Committee, Curriculum Development Committee, Development
Committee, and Diversity Cabinet. Dr. Jay Howard, IUPUC Vice Chancellor and Dean, works
closely with the community in the development of campus initiatives in these areas.
Working closely with IUPUC officials, the Board of Advisors will assist and guide the campus
in its continued growth to lead this part of the state in baccalaureate-level education. IUPUC
students remain in this region after they graduate, and these Indiana University and Purdue
University graduates will assume leadership roles in their companies and communities across our region.
IUPUC is growing rapidly and taking a more vital role in enhancing the economic development and
quality of life in south central Indiana. The Board of Advisors is pleased to assist the campus
with this important mission.
Tom Vujovich
Chairman, IUPUC Board of Advisors
