Miscellaneous Fees

  • Late Program Change Fee $22.00 for each course added after the first week of class.
  • New Student Enrollment Fee $100.00.
  • Personal Deferment Fee $25.00 (first installment), $11.50 (second installment).
  • Recording Fee varies per individual student.
  • Returned Item Service Charge $27.50 or 5% percent of check or charge amount, whichever is greater, but not to exceed $250.
  • A late payment fee of $25.00 per billing cycle, will be added to all accounts where the amount due is not paid by the due date.
  • Academic Dismissal Reinstatement Fee $55.00.
  • Financial Transcripts $3.25 each.
Special Credit Fees (Hours are determined by the issuing department)

The Trustees of Indiana University have approved the following fee structure for special credit. If the credit is awarded as a result of an examination and:
  • Is during the first or second consecutive semester of matriculation, there is no charge.
  • If the applicant is a first semester transfer student, there is a $20.00 per credit hour charge.
  • If the applicant is neither of the above, the standard credit hour, resident or non-resident rate will be assessed.
If the credit is awarded as result of credentials or experience, the fee will be assessed at the rate of $18.75 per credit hour; not to exceed $93.75 per course.

Special credit forms expire six months from the date of issue. If no date is showing, the student should return the form to the issuing department before processing by the Office of the Registrar and the Office of the Bursar.
