What Is The PPST Test?
The PPST is a standardized test of basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. It can be taken as a paper and pencil test or on the computer. The test is given by Educational Testing Services, http://www.ets.org/praxis.

Who Must Take The Test?
Any student who wants to become a teacher must take the PPST. Indiana requires all new teachers to have passing PPST scores in order to get a license. Therefore IUPUC requires all students seeking admission to an IUPUC teacher education program to pass all three parts of the PPST test before entering the program.
