Biographical Statement:
I am Clinical Assistant Professor of Science Education at IUPUC, District Director X of NSTA and
the Indiana Science Matters state coordinator. Prior to coming to Columbus, I was an Assistant
Professor of Science Education and Lecturer in Biology at SUNY-Oneonta, an Assistant Professor
Science Education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, and taught high school science in
Elkhart, IN. I am an active member of Indiana’s science and education communities; I serve on
the Board of Advisors for the Indiana Natural Resources Education Council, and am co chair and
an educational advisor to Space Port Indiana. I serve as a founding member of the International
Virtual STEM Classroom, which develops ways to use technologies to engage K-12 and post-secondary
learners across the globe in standards-based, best practice STEM instruction, and am the tournament
director of the FIRST Lego League qualifying tournament in Columbus.
