Flu (H1N1)
In an effort to provide guidance in working through a possible H1N1 flu outbreak this fall, IUPUC
has formed a Pandemic Committee. The group has been meeting to consider and develop information
and guidelines for working through a possible interruption to our academic semester.
For more information about H1N1, please visit our
H1N1 FAQ page. The page should be helpful for
students, faculty, and staff in learning about and responding to this illness, and it also
includes links to other resources.
If you become ill with the flu, please contact your instructors for all of your classes and
inform them that you have the flu. Be prepared to continue with your class work through your
illness so that when you return to campus you will be prepared to complete the semester. The
university faculty will make an effort to work with you and help you through this unique
medical situation, but it is very important that you inform your instructors as soon as possible
if you will be absent due to the flu.
We are hopeful that we will not have to call upon our pandemic planning this fall semester;
however, we are prepared should an outbreak affect the campus.
