Faculty Handbooks
Whether you are new on campus or a veteran member of the IUPUC faculty, this 28-page Faculty Orientation Handbook offers useful guidance on a variety of current policies, procedures, and resources that can help you accomplish many instructing, administrative, and counseling duties correctly and efficiently.

A more comprehensive guide for instructors available in portable document format (pdf) on the IUPU-Indianapolis web site is the Indiana University Academic Handbook. It is periodically revised with supplements.

The IUPUC Faculty Senate is the governing body for the faculty of Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus.

Faculty Colloquium Dates
Oncourse CL Training and Support
Faculty members are encouraged to use the teaching and course management tools offered by the Oncourse online application. There are several ways to acquire Oncourse user skills: self study with PDF documents or video demonstrations, in-person contacts on campus, and special information bulletins. Go to the Training and Support page to see and select your options.

Late Registration and Schedule Changes
IUPUC allows students to adjust their schedules electronically or manually depending upon timing and the nature of the change. In some cases, a change requires the instructor’s permission. Click here for a review of Late Registration and Schedule Change procedures.

Grades and Grading Policy
This page and sub-pages about Grades has the same information available to students. The topics covered are: Grading System, Probation and Dismissal Policy, Grade Changes and Appeals, and Special Credit.

Under Grading System, there are more links to information about Pass/Fail, Audit, Incomplete, and Withdraw.

Faculty Conflict of Interest
Policies on Conflicts of Commitment Involving Outside Professional Activities and Outside Activities and Extra Compensation are defined in the Academic Handbook . The form for reporting or requesting approval of Conflict of Commitment should be submitted to your Division Head.
