University College Academic Advising Services
Welcome to University College at IUPUC!
The University College Academic Advising team provides assistance to undergraduate students who are waiting for admission to their academic division as well as to those undergraduates who are undecided about their major.
UC Academic Advisors assist students in making a successful transition to university life while preparing them for admission to an academic division. In addition, advisors assist students in identifying university resources that will help to improve their academic standing. Most students find it helpful to meet with their advisor each semester to choose courses for the following semester and to find out about changes in degree requirements that might affect their academic plans.
Academic Advisors in UC provide the following services:
- Coordination of New Student Orientation
- Advising and registration of beginning students
- Advising and registration of transfer students
- Assistance with continuing UCOL student advising and registration
- Monitoring of students on academic probation
- Implementation and interpretation of UCOL reinstatement guidelines
- Tools to plan class schedules and meet degree requirements
- Referrals to appropriate IUPUC resources and services
