A community where you belong
IUPUC is a welcoming campus, offering individual learning experiences for dreamers, doers, and leaders. Our students learn to discover and contribute to their communities in their own way. Surrounded by the architectural beauty of Columbus, Indiana, IUPUC embraces collaborative ways of thinking that attract exceptional students and faculty. At IUPUC, diverse ideas are nurtured and encouraged to make the community, state, and world a better place to live.
Preparation for whatever comes next
As a campus of Indiana University and an extension of IUPUI, our more than 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students have access to degrees from both Indiana University and Purdue University. Students engage in rigorous classes of the same academic intensity as all IU students but on a smaller, more close-knit campus.
IUPUC students can complete undergraduate degrees in biology, business, communication studies, elementary education, English, general studies, mechanical engineering, nursing, psychology or sociology and graduate degrees in business administration or mental health counseling.
A culture of perpetual discovery
Our small campus means big opportunities for our students to discover who they are and who they want to be.
At IUPUC, students can learn and conduct academic research with faculty members who are recognized experts in their fields with degrees from schools such as Yale University, Stanford University, MIT and Duke University. Through working alongside faculty members, several of our students have published research articles on mayflies, autism, ecosystems, and more.
As a part of IU, students at IUPUC can select from over 380 study abroad trips to more than 50 countries. They can also participate in experiential learning opportunities at regional employers like Columbus Regional Health and LHP Software, national corporations such as Elwood Staffing and Taylor Brothers, and global corporations such as Cummins Inc., Faurecia, AK Steel, and Toyota Industrial Equipment.
These remarkable opportunities take students beyond the books and prepare them to succeed in the work force with additional skills in leadership, communication, collaboration, problem solving, and critical thinking.
A brighter future
IUPUC graduates earn degrees that lead to jobs. More than 80 percent of IUPUC students find a job related to their major after graduation, and the vast majority of alumni are satisfied with their IUPUC education.
As a community partner, IUPUC works to align its academic offerings with the needs of the region and state. Our degrees lead to jobs in five of the ten hottest careers in the region – nursing, teaching, business management, sales reps, and mechanical engineers.
