Under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or Clery Act, the Indiana University Police Department is required to alert the campus community to certain crimes in a manner that is timely and will aid in the prevention of similar crimes. Indiana University Police Department issues Crime Notices for any Clery Act crime that has occurred within our Clery Act geography where it has been determined that there is a serious or continuing threat to students and employees. Crime Notices are distributed via email and will contain a brief description of the details of the crime and provide the campus community with information on how to protect yourself from similar crimes from happening to you.
