RN to BSN Program

If you are a registered nurse with an RN license and an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree or a nursing diploma from an NLNAC-accredited institution, take your career to the next level with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

With the RN to BSN program at IUPUC, you can begin your studies in the fall, spring, or summer with a curriculum that combines classroom instruction, simulation, clinical experiences, and Web-based learning. This format is a convenient way to continue your education while working and managing family responsibilities.

Comprehensive Preparation

Our RN to BSN curriculum focuses on the skills and competencies you need to practice in today’s ever-evolving health care environment. Classes are relevant and meaningful for working adult RNs. The clinical experiences and practicums are creative, flexible, and meaningful, taking into account your previous learning and career goals. Review our course listings for a complete list of required and elective courses.

With a comprehensive foundation in the sciences and humanities, you will be well-prepared to meet the current and future health needs of society. You will learn current trends in health care and develop the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to these trends in your nursing practice, including:

  • Health promotion
  • Disease prevention
  • Health restoration
  • Health maintenance
  • Management of individuals/families coping with acute and chronic illness

Because the program builds on courses you have already taken, you will receive credit for many of the general education courses completed as part of your ASN or diploma program.

Convenient, Flexible Structure

RN to BSN students at IUPUC work closely with academic advisors to plan a customized course of study that fits their needs. Courses are designed for working professionals, providing a flexible schedule that includes clinical experiences, online learning, and classroom instruction.
