Adult Learners

More than 40 percent of IUPUC students are adults 25 years of age or older who live and work in southern Indiana. Many are married with children and full-time jobs. They have busy schedules that require them to balance their work, family, and educational goals.

Whether you are 25 or 65, interested in taking a few courses on a specific subject or eager to work toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree, we offer credit and noncredit programs that meet your needs.

If you have an associate's degree, you may be able to apply those credits as a transfer student toward a bachelor’s degree. If you are an Ivy Tech Community College graduate, ask about our Passport Program and Passport Scholarship.

STEP 1: Apply for admission

Undergraduate students

If you are a high school graduate or have a GED, have never attended a college or university, or have 12 or fewer college credits, you are an undergraduate student.

You have three options to apply for admission:

  1. Apply online.
  2. Download a paper application.
  3. Contact us at 812.348.7390 or to request an application packet.

Include your one-time, non-refundable $50 application fee.

You may schedule an appointment with an admissions officer. Bring copies of your GED results or high school and/or college transcripts to the appointment. You do not need to have taken SAT or ACT exams, although if you have scores from either, bring those with you as well.

Graduate students

If you already have a bachelor’s degree and want to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling, please review the admission processes for those programs.

  • Apply to the MBA program
  • Apply to the MA in mental health counseling program
