Intercampus transfer

Everything you need to know (and do) to transfer to IUPUC

  • Know your deadlines

For priority admission consideration, please submit your application by these dates:

    • Fall semester: July 15
    • Spring semester: December 15
    • Summer session I: April 1
    • Summer session II: May 15
  • If it's your first time applying to IUPUC

If you are attending another IU campus and would like to transfer to IUPUC, you’ll need to fill out the intercampus transfer application. You must also meet the following criteria at the time of application:

    • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the IU campus where you are currently enrolled
    • Have completed at least 12 hours of academic credit
    • If you were admitted to your current IU campus under conditional acceptance, fulfill your conditional requirements before applying to IUPUC

If, at the time of application, you have not completed 12 hours of academic credit at your current IU campus, your application will be sent to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions for review.

We may need your official high school transcript as well as any transcripts from other postsecondary institutions you have attended. We will review the transcript(s) and determine your eligibility based, in part, on beginning freshman and transfer admission requirements.

  • If you've ever been admitted to IUPUC

If you applied to IUPUC in the past and were admitted, but had to turn down the offer for any reason, you’ll fill out the intercampus transfer application to reapply.

You will also need to meet the following criteria:

    • You must have completed either no academic credit hours at an IU campus or have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in the IU courses you have completed at the time of application.
    • In addition, once admitted to IUPUC as an intercampus transfer, you must continue to maintain the required 2.0 cumulative GPA in any additional college course work that you complete after the time of application.
  • If you've ever been denied admission to IUPUC

We’re glad that you are still interested in IUPUC! And we would love to have you join us. To be eligible for intercampus transfer, you will need to complete the intercampus transfer application and meet the following criteria at the time of application:

    • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the IU campus where you are currently enrolled
    • Have completed at least 12 hours of academic credit
    • If you were admitted to your current IU campus under conditional acceptance, fulfill your conditional requirements before applying to IUPUC
  • If you also attended another university

If you’re currently earning college credit at an IU campus, but you have also earned college credit at a different university, you can still apply as an intercampus transfer student. You may also be able to transfer credit from an institution outside the IU system.

To be eligible for intercampus transfer to IUPUC from your current IU campus (even if you attended another institution), you will need to meet the following criteria:

    • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the IU campus where you are currently enrolled
    • Complete at least 12 hours of academic credit at the IU campus where you are currently enrolled
    • If you were admitted to your current IU campus under conditional acceptance, fulfill your conditional requirements before applying to IUPUC

You will need to send your official college transcript(s) to IUPUC so that we can review them as part of the admission process and evaluate them for IU credit.

  • If you plan to attend as a temporary intercampus transfer

If you are currently enrolled at another IU campus, and wish to transfer to IUPUC for the summer or a single fall/spring semester, you should submit the temporary intercampus transfer application.

Once you have submitted the form, a member of our registrar services team will review your application. Once your file has been reviewed and a decision has been made, you will receive an email to your IU email account.

To be eligible for temporary intercampus transfer status, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the IU campus where you are currently enrolled
    • If you were admitted to your current IU campus under conditional acceptance, fulfill your conditional requirements before applying to IUPUC

  • Learn how transferring your credits will work

If you are admitted, credit from your current IU campus will likely transfer to IUPUC.

We will also determine how credits you have earned at other accredited institutions can translate towards a degree program at IUPUC.
