Summer Courses

Catch Up or Get Ahead with Six-Week Summer Sessions

IUPUC offers two six-week sessions every summer, and courses are offered in-person and online making it convenient for you! Courses in our summer sessions tend to have smaller class sizes which means you receive personalized attention. Summer courses are a great way to focus on a particular subject or to fulfill a general education requirement.

Students engage in summer courses for a variety of reasons, and even non-IUPUC students come to our campus to take a course or two once they come back home for the summer.

Registering For Classes

If you are a current IUPUC student, you should register during early registration. All other students will register during open registration.

Your registration date is scheduled based on your current class standing. Students with the greatest number of hours at their current level or in their current program will have the earliest registration dates.

You may register at any time after your scheduled registration appointment through the first week of classes. Keep in mind the earlier you register, the more likely you are to get into the classes you want.

Depending on your student type, you’ll have a different process to register for classes.

For new degree-seeking students you will be required to meet with your academic advisor before registering for classes at which point they will walk through the process of registering for your courses.

For new non-degree seeking students, you will be able to register for classes once you have been term activated. To view if you have been term activated you will login to One.IU and select “Student Center”. Once in your student center, you will select “Register and Drop/Add”. Once you see the semester term you wish to enroll populate, you may begin registering for courses.
