Want to make a difference in your community? Need service credit for class, a leadership certificate, or scholarship requirements? Would you like more work experience for your resume?
There are plenty of opportunities for you to engage in a variety of community outreach opportunities, both serving the university as well as serving nonprofit organizations in the greater Columbus area. You can develop marketable skills including communication, organizing, event planning, time management, networking and leadership skills through meaningful connections and experiences.
IUPUC partners with local non-for-profits for community service opportunities, including the United Way, San Souci, and Thrive Alliance just to name a few. Every September, IUPUC organizes the annual Day of Service event which aids our community partners and provides volunteer opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff. In addition to non-for-profit partnerships, every April our campus connects students with local residents who request help in our annual Big Event.
More information for community service opportunities for current students is available in our weekly What's Up email sent every Monday.
