Those who live in the greater Seymour area can earn Indiana University college credits by taking Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) classes that will be offered at the Jackson County Learning Center this fall. The first week of classes is August 19.
Credits earned will apply toward degrees offered at IUPUC, degrees offered on other Indiana University campuses, as well as other colleges and universities in and around the state.
The ten IUPUC classes to be offered in Seymour include:
Nearly 40 percent of IUPUC students are ages 25 or older. Most of them balance getting an education with earning a living and raising children.
By taking classes at the Jackson County Learning Center, students with busy work schedules or family responsibilities can earn college credit without commuting to IUPUC's Columbus campus.
In addition, students living in and near Seymour can also choose from 120 online courses this fall. Online classes are a convenient option for many students.
