IU postpones all spring commencement ceremonies

Current guidance from the CDC, restrictions on large gatherings, and our own focus on health and safety make it impossible to hold these cherished traditional events as scheduled. All IU degrees will continue to be awarded when earned, and this change of plans in no way affects the timing and awarding of IU degrees.

IUPUC building access

While IUPUC remains open for business, we will not unlock the exterior entry doors for access to the Columbus Center or to the Research Building through the end of the semester. We are encouraging all who are able to work remotely in line with the university’s emergency telecommuting policy to do so. Contact information for our departments will be posted on the exterior entrance doors and is available on our web site directory at http://www.iupuc.edu/.

Wireless access at IUPUC

Although the Columbus Center building will not be open, Indiana University students can access the wireless network in the Columbus Learning Center when it is open, or from the CC building’s parking lot as indicated on the map below at any time.

Campus events

All on-campus events have been cancelled for the semester. We are investigating the option of conducting some events virtually, if possible.

Classes to be virtual for the remainder of the spring semester

IU is suspending face-to-face classes and transitioning to virtual learning for the remainder of the spring semester. Additionally, spring break will be extended by one additional week. It will now be from March 14 to 29. This additional week will provide more travel flexibility for all students given the stress on domestic and international travel systems. It will also give faculty time to prepare for completing the semester via virtual teaching. Classes will resume on March 30.

Final exams will be held online and according to the current schedule.

Students in courses with a clinical component or field work will receive further instruction from the academic leaders in their programs as to how these will be addressed.
