As the only four-year public institution in south central Indiana, IUPUC takes great pride in being thought leaders for the region and in our partnerships with critical regional organizations and supporters. The collaborative development of a sponsored hybrid colloquium/speaker series at IUPUC will reinforce its position as the intellectual thought leader in our region through speaker presentations, exhibits, and discussions on relative topics. These series events will cultivate engagement and goodwill for the community.

More InformationWe can bring IUPUC to the world and the world to IUPUC. Through outstanding speakers and various colloquia from multiple disciplines, including science, business, psychology, engineering, social sciences and humanities, IUPUC will bring faculty, regional experts and nationally renowned guests to campus to talk with students and interested community members about timely issues affecting our region and world.
The series will support IU's work in showcasing a community of world-class scholars in their effort to foster learning and build community. Additionally, it will bring in guest speakers who are experts in their fields. Such a series will benefit staff, faculty, students, community, and business leaders and can be used as outreach tool for both recruitment and development.
This forum will engage the internal and external communities in:
- Learning more about relevant and timely subject matters in our country and state, with a goal to expand understanding and enhance education, helping to create a baseline for developing personal opinions and thoughtful actions.
- Learning more about the remarkable research being conducted by our faculty, staff and students — research that expands knowledge, satisfies curiosities, drives innovation, creates new industries and jobs, and spurs economic growth.
Both learning opportunities ultimately enhance education that directly impacts our region through a higher standard of living in our community, region and state.
