Dr. Beth Sharer serves as the Division Head to the Division of Health Sciences at IUPUC. Dr. Sharer has over 30 years of healthcare experience. She holds a Doctor of Health Administration from Central Michigan University. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing with a minor in psychology from Indiana University where she graduated with distinction.
Dr. Sharer has experince in teaching nursing in LPN, ASN, and BSN programs. Prior to IUPUC, she served in administration positions at six hospitals. Dr. Sharer has worked in small, large, county owned, religious-affiliated, not-for-profit, and for-profit hospitals in central and southern Indiana. Preceeding her work in administration, Dr. Sharer also worked in almost every clinical area of nursing.
Dr. Sharer was born in Seymour, IN and grew up in Madison, IN. She moved back to Seymour in 1996 and began working at IUPUC in 2009.
