Tina Hobbs has been anobstetrics nurse for most of her career, intermixed with a medical-surgical background early on. She has worked in small, rural hospitals all of her career and has cared for patients in all realms of obstetrics, including healthy newborns and newborns requiring special care. Professor Hobbs has also worked as a Clinical Practice Coordinator in an obstetrics unit, updating policies and providing education to staff nurses. She currently works as a staff nurse since her graduation in 1990, and she enjoys bothbedside nursing and teaching. She currently works full-time as a Clinical Assistant Professor at IUPUC and continues to work PRN as a Level 1 obstetrics nurse in a small community hospital.
