• HRAF: World Cultures: A cross-cultural database that contains information on all aspects of cultural and social life.
• JSTOR: A not-for-profit organization with a dual mission to create and maintain a trusted archive of important scholarly journals and to provide access to these journals as widely as possible. Content in JSTOR spans many disciplines in the humanities and sciences.
• Opposing Viewpoints in Context: This database draws on the acclaimed social issues series published by Greenhaven Press. It also includes core reference content from other Gale Group and Macmillan Reference USA sources, including selections from Bioethics for Students. Opposing Viewpoints in Context provides full-text magazines and newspapers, plus exclusive electronic access to selections from the Information Plus reference line.The result is a dynamic online library of current event topics featuring the facts and the arguments of each topic's proponents and detractors.
• PsycARTICLES: PsycARTICLES is a database of full-text articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber. The database includes all material from the print journals with the exception of advertisements and editorial board lists.
• PsycINFO (1887-current): PsycINFO provides access to international literature in psychology and related disciplines. Unrivaled in its depth of psychological coverage and respected worldwide for its high quality, the database is enriched with literature from an array of disciplines related to psychology such as psychiatry, education, business, medicine, nursing, pharmacology, law, linguistics, and social work. Nearly all records contain nonevaluative summaries, and all records from 1967 to the present are indexed using the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms.  The sources include over 1,400 professional journals, chapters, books, reports, theses and dissertations, published internationally.
• Public Affairs Information Service (PAIS): This resource covers issues in the public debate through selective coverage of a wide variety of international sources including journal articles, books, government documents, statistical directories, grey literature, research reports, conference papers, web content, and more. PAIS International is the current file covering 1972 to present, and PAIS Archive includes the content from printed volumes published 1915-1976.
• Social Science Citation Index (1987-present): This index is a multidisciplinary site to the journal literature of the social sciences. It is a database in the Web of Science.
• Social Services Abstracts (ProQuest): This portal provides bibliographic coverage of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development. The database abstracts and indexes over 1,600 serials publications and includes abstracts of journal articles and dissertations, and citations to book reviews.
• Social Theory (Alexander Street Press): An extensive selection of documents exploring the complexities and nature of social behavior and organization. Particular care has been taken to index this material so that it can be searched thoroughly. It features more than 90,000 pages of content by such major theorists as Jean Baudrillard, Simone de Beauvoir, Ulrich Beck, Howard Becker, Nancy Chodorow, Émile Durkheim, Michel Foucault, Erving Goffman, Robert Merton, and Talcott Parsons.
• Social Work Abstracts (EBSCO): This database provides access to two unique databases in one subscription: Social Work Abstracts and The Register of Clinical Social Workers. Social Work Abstracts contains information on the fields of social work and human services from 1977 to present.
• SocINDEX with Full-Text (EBSCO): A comprehensive sociology research database, SocINDEX with Full Text contains full text for over 700 journals dating back to 1908. It also includes full text for more than 800 books and monographs, and full text for over 11,000 conference papers.
• Sociological Abstracts (ProQuest): Abstracts and indexes the international literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. The database provides abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews drawn from over 1,700 serials publications, and also provides abstracts of books, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers. Records added after 1974 contain in-depth and nonevaluative abstracts of journal articles.
