Diedra Hayman, PhD HSPP is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology and Director of Clinical Training for the Mental Health Counseling program. She earned her doctoral degree in counseling psychology from the University of Florida and completed a predoctoral internship at the University Counseling Center at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Dr. Hayman also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care family psychology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Hayman has broad clinical experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of clients across the lifespan. A specialty of Dr. Hayman’s is the assessment and diagnosis of children and adolescents to determine the presence of autism spectrum and other childhood disorders. Most recently, she served as Director of the Magnolia Clinic of the South Arkansas Regional Health Center where she led an interdisciplinary team providing outpatient mental health services to clients living in a rural setting. Dr. Hayman’s has previously served on the faculty of Alabama A & M University and Virginia Western Community College.
