I served as Director of Health Services and then Director of Operations, for a non-profit organization that provided community supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with complex health conditions, for nearly twenty years. I remain an advocate, and a consultant, for this population, and the organizations who support them. My doctoral focus is on improving community based health services for persons with intellectual and developmental disability.
I am also interested in leadership theory and the development of nursing leaders, who will provide innovative and interprofessional approaches, to the challenges that exist within the healthcare system.
