Being an Orientation Leader (OL) is a great opportunity for current IUPUC students to be paid while serving in a leadership capacity! This experience will help you build many transferrable skills, such as effective communication, facilitation, teamwork, and establishing positive relationships with diverse individuals. This is also an excellent opportunity to improve and enhance your personal leadership style!
Orientation Leaders can have an everlasting effect on a student and provide him or her with an experience they will most likely never forget. Orientation Leaders are current students at IUPUC who help new and transfer students take the first steps toward a successful college career.
You will be paired with another OL during New Student Orientations and lead a group of students and their parents to multiple sessions throughout the day. You will also be responsible for making sure your group is on time to their sessions, as well as answering questions throughout the day. You may also have the opporunity to assist presenters during the student and parents sessions, as you contain valuable campus knowledge that new students want to hear from YOU!

Orientation Leaders must be enrolled in courses at IUPUC during spring 2021 and returning fall 2021. They also must be in academic and disciplinary good standing with a 2.5 minimum GPA.
