An internship is an effective way of gaining experience and test-driving a job or a career of interest. Internships enable you to apply theories learned in the classroom to real-world business settings.
Experiential learning is a required component of the business degree and most students choose an internship to meet that requirement. Other options include a collaborative research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor or a study abroad experience.
My internship at NTN Driveshaft gave me an opportunity to work in a project management role. Helping to manage the installation and floor layout of over a million dollars in new equipment provided me with valuable insight and experience in other areas of manufacturing.
