Information Sessions for MBA Program to be held Oct. 24 and Nov. 14

October 16, 2013

Working adults who want to boost their careers are invited to learn how earning an Indiana University Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) can help them expand their opportunities.

Two one-hour information sessions about the MBA Program will be offered this fall:

  • Thursday, October 24
  • Thursday, November 14

Both sessions will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be held in CC Room 176 at IUPUC, located at 4601 Central Avenue near Columbus Regional Airport.

“Earning an MBA is a great way for area professionals to advance or change careers and assume leadership positions in a variety of organizational settings, from large corporations to nonprofit agencies,” explains Jeff Hittler, interim MBA program director and visiting senior lecturer in business at IUPUC.

Hittler says the MBA Program at IUPUC is a general management course of study that is distinctive because of its part-time format and modular, fully integrated curriculum. Students take classes two nights each week and graduate in 24 months with an Indiana University MBA degree earned on a convenient Columbus campus.

Program content is organized in six thematic modules, including a unique Professional Development Thread (PDT) that provides students with personal attention to career development and personal coaching on individual presentation and communication skills.

The program also has a strong global focus. MBA students at IUPUC recently had the opportunity to participate in an optional week-long study seminar in Hong Kong. Hittler expects similar study-abroad opportunities will be offered in the future.

The Indiana University Division of Business at IUPUC is pursuing professional accreditation from AACSB International.

College graduates who hold bachelor’s degrees in any discipline are encouraged to attend the information session and talk with IUPUC faculty and students in the Division of Business, asking questions about eligibility criteria, the admission process, and other specifics.

Those interested in attending can RSVP to Hittler at 812.348.7263 or jhittler@iupuc.edu. RSVPs are requested but not required. For more information, visit iupuc.edu/mba.
