The Excellence in Leadership Initiative at IUPUC presents Miguel Hernandez and Embracing Latinx Leadership: Leading from Our Cultural Core. The public is invited to come hear Miguel’s interactive presentation. 

This free event will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 4 p.m. in LC 1400.

Embracing Latinx Leadership introduces participants to the new Latinx diaspora in the United States. The session will provide an overview of a culturally responsive Latinx Leadership model which will highlight Latinx traditions and practices aimed at promoting a sense of shared values, service, and community. Attendees will increase their awareness, knowledge, and commitment toward embracing Latinx leaders among them in order to create a more inclusive learning environment on campus.

The Excellence in Leadership Initiative was created to bring nationally renowned and engaging speakers to the IUPUC campus to provide students, staff, faculty, and community an opportunity to engage in conversations related to diverse and timely topics.
