IUPUC campus will be participating in the severe weather sheltering drills

Severe Weather Preparedness Week is coming up, and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) is encouraging all Hoosiers to plan ahead for extreme weather. The intuitive is as part of Severe Storm Preparedness and Flood Awareness Week recognized on March 19 – 25 and Tuesday, Mar. 21, between 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. and again between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

In accordance, on Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. the IUPUC campus community will participate in a severe weather sheltering drill.

When the siren goes off, please move to the closest shelter from you campus location.

APPROVED SHELTER AREAS

CC building include
First floor

  • The Bursar’s Office area CC-157, CC-158, CC-175, 177 and 179
  • Restrooms CC-192 and CC-193, CC-196 and CC-197
  • The stairwell near entrance #5 (southeast corner of building)
  • The stairwell near entrance #2 (northeast corner of building)

Second floor

  • Restrooms CC-294 and CC-295
  • Restrooms CC-296 and CC-297

RC building

  • The entire building is a sheltered area

CLC building

  • 1511, 1506, 1400, 1201, and the restroom areas next to IT and the bookstore

If you are at home at 7 p.m., please consider participating in a shelter drill with your family in your home.
