Noncredit, Short-Term Management Series Set to Begin May 4

The Office of Executive Education at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) will offer its noncredit Management Series beginning May 4.

The series includes four half-day sessions on Fridays. Each session begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. Participants can register individual course modules or complete the entire series:

  • Module 1: Managing Conflict (May 4)
  • Module 2: Managing Meetings (May 18)
  • Module 3: Managing Performance (June 1)
  • Module 4: Managing Teams (June 15)

The series is ideal for business owners, managers, supervisors, and adults who want to refresh their skills and knowledge in specific areas with short-term training.

The course content is appropriate for those who work in government or municipal settings, social service and not-for-profit organizations, advanced manufacturing enterprises, and the corporate world. It provides participants with knowledge and practical skills for career growth and advancement that have immediate application in the workplace, reported Kevin McCracken, associate director of IUPUC’s Office of Executive Education.

“In a competitive work environment, many employees are seeking ways to generate more advancement opportunities. This series provides university-level instruction that will help them become better managers and better leaders,” McCracken said.

Cost is $125 per person per module. Discounts are available for groups of three or more.
