Municipal and State Government Relations

This committee advises IU Columbus about state and local legislative and administration issues.

  • It keeps campus leadership updated on news and developments in governmental agencies in the area, including information that impacts IU Columbus’s strategic plans.
  • Facilitates university efforts to build relationships with key representatives at all levels of government.
  • Members have a thorough understanding of IU Columbus’s strategy to perceive government connections that could be beneficial and should be established.
Future Growth and Development

The Campus of the Future Committee helps IU Columbus develop its strategy for achieving official campus status that is efficient and builds on the strength of the IU and PU branding and systems.

  • The committee is ad hoc but will exist for several years.
  • It assists the university in discerning and understanding local and regional perceptions about the campus, navigating the Indiana University system, and maintaining a high level of awareness about political issues and developments at the state level that are material to IU Columbus’s status.

Meeting Dates

The Board of Advisors (BOA) meet quarterly on the second Wednesday of the month on the IUPUC campus.
